There's no place like home!

The Dampeer Family are homeowners once again!! We closed on our new house today in South Bend, IN. The following are photos from the listing. We move in next week as the previous owners had a week to move out. Can't wait!

Sophee can't wait to run around her new fenced in back yard and Daddy can't wait to practice his golf game back there too (the truth came out why Andy liked the house so much :).

Living room. Can't wait to fill it with our furniture!

Photo of living room again from staircase aka Sophee's new perch.

Not too many photos yet...stay tuned! Hopefully you can see it in person soon!

Fun in Frigid February!

What was Alex up to over the last month?

Looking good...in another Nana Dampeer creation just in time for Valentine's Day.

Alex attended his first track meet at ND while witnessing 5 runners complete a mile in under 4 minutes! I have to add that a MSU runner won that race in 3min and 57sec! Crazy!

Then Alex was on to his first modeling job! Mom and Alex were asked to be in the Saint Mary's Bookstore Fashion Show. Mom sported a pink running fleece while Alex dazzled in a SMC green tee. Alex ran down the runway...after the show. He was shy during the show so mom carried him. He did a great job.

Then on to Glen Oaks Community College where Mom's 1996-1997 Basketball Team was honored for their excellent season. They went to Nationals in which they took 5th place.

Mom and the other team members that attended the ceremony each got a plaque. Alex was proud of mom and got a kick out of watching the girls and guys game while visiting the college.

Mom and Dad also learned of Alex's interest in FISH! He learned who Nemo was in one day! Now he has to read his Nemo book at least once a day.

Alex found time to shop. Gloves are the answer to keeping this little boy in a grocery cart. Especially daddy's gloves!

He also found time during the busy month to help daddy shovel.

He sure kept mom and dad busy since he is into EVERYTHING possible.

Can't forget about his bus tours around the South Bend mall...

...or his 3rd haircut.

Alex couldn't pass up hours and hours of playing. He has become very fond of playdough and coloring.

Last but not least, Alex found lots of time for sleep. Did he really need a haircut?

Bear-rel of fun

Alex likes to give his bear hugs and kisses!

18 MONTHS!!

Wow! Our little tyke is a year and a half! We can't believe how much he has grown! We think you will agree!

18 months

3 months...yep that's Alex!

It used to be so easy to take his photo!! Now he just won't sit still...as you can see!
(Is it me or is the bear smiling at the camera too :)

Why sit by the bear when you can sit on top of it?

What once was a pillar in our basement is now a yard stick! We measured Alex on February 28 to find him standing at 30.5 inches. At the doctor's office last week on February 25, he weighed 21 pounds and 7 ounces.

Fun fact: Alex is the same height that his daddy was at his age, however, daddy weighed in at 19 pounds. We thought Alex was skinny!
