Good news all around!

Congrats to mom and dad's friend Mike Cousino who recently popped the question to girlfriend Katie who of course said YES!
Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of Mike and Katie...but here is a photo of Mike and Andy at a Notre Dame tailgate this past fall.

Working mama...

Mom got a promotion!
After a couple months back to work, mom got a promotion to the Operations Manager. Guess her little man is good luck.

Easter Mass

All dressed up for mass...ironed shirt and all!

Mom, Dad, Alex, Grandpa and Grandma Dampeer enjoyed Alex's first Easter Mass in South Bend. Alex was a good boy...after he finally fell asleep.

More Easter goodies at Gma and Gpa D's house! Alex had a fun weekend away from home.

Alex's Egg-cellent Easter!

Alex had no problem getting the goodies out of his very own Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa Arklie.

First Easter egg hunt...

...with mom and dad's help.

No candy yet, but Tonka trucks will do.

"This one please!"
Alex helped pick out his brand new highchair from Grandma and Grandpa Arklie aka the Easter Bunny.

Springtime Snow

"All this to go outside?"

Big boy Alex enjoyed the big snowfall in his sled on Easter Weekend (3/22).

Alex's Aquarium

WHO NEEDS FLAVA-FLAV, WHEN YOU HAVE ALA-ALEX?

Alex LOVES his first aquarium...thanks to Debbie and Dan Martin!

Future Duhawk?

Daddy's friends from Loras College, Brendan Conway and Aaron Plein graciously made the long trek from Iowa and Wisconsin to join in on mom and dad 's Green Day get-together! Alex dressed for the occasion!

TOP O THE MORNING TO YOU...

Even though Alex was home sick (first ear infection, poor babe) on St. Patty's Day, he was still in green spirit!

Our own little Leprechan! Thanks to Gma D for the stylish homemade top hat!

This Leprechan had more then one uniform!

"Are you serious mom?"

I smell trouble!

Sophee's Storytime!

Alex and Sophee are getting along better and better everyday. In fact, Sophee likes to tell Alex fun stories...

Sophee likes to really get into her stories...

...especially when it's the Wizard of Oz!"

Jackson, Drew, and Alex at it again!

Another playdate with the boys!...and of course the mom's were at it again taking more photos. Jackson is 5 days younger then Alex...and they are both 6 months old...already!

The baby's meet again!

How nice it is that they share their toys.

Awww, yeah right, don't let Alex fool you, he's going in for the grab on Jackson's pacifer!

...and he almost got it!

Wanna sip?

Alex's first drink from a sippy cup...or an attempt at least.

"New toy for me?"

"This is a wierd bottle!"

"The milk is clear!"

Beware, this is not for weak stomachs :)

For some reason Alex is not liking babyfood yet. Either he is very partial to mommy's milk or he has baby anorexia...

Even rice cereal brings an upside down frown to his face...

...but not as bad as avacado (can't say that I blame him).

I think I remember doing this exact thing at the dinner table when I was a little girl and didn't want to eat those awful peas!

Guess the sweet potatoes weren't too sweet afterall!

Okay Mister, we get the picture! And from the sound of it you are just like your daddy who didn't like anything either at your age!

SIX MONTHS!

Alex turned a whopping 6 months old on February 28th!...okay so I'm a little behind the times. Alex had his 6 month check up on the next day (2/29/08). He was a very good boy for the doctor but had to reschedule his shots due to a fever he had previously that week.

6 month stats at home. We found out the next day that he is in the 50th percentile for height.

Alex weighed in at 14 pounds and 8 ounces at the doctor's. Unfortunately, that put him at the 5th percentile for weight. Alex's daddy was also a little tyke at that same age...but we were advised to get Alex more calories each day. Stay tuned for those fun food photos, for some reason Alex isn't a fan of babyfood!

Alex sure knows how to make friends. He always knows exactly what to say and do! Even his doctor agrees.
Although he is little, the doctor was very pleased with Alex's strength and attentiveness.

Here we are again having a stare down with ourself at the doctor's office. Alex won!

No better time to practice those innocent and adorable faces, that get mommy and daddy everyday!
