All stand...

Alex can't sit still these days...all he wants to do is stand and look around. It won't be long until he is running around after Sophee.

Here Alex is standing on mom and dad's friend, Jamie Webster's lap. Jamie and Russ Webster visited Alex last Friday (11/16). After the visit, the Websters along with mom and dad met up with other friends Jen and Rick Rupp and Heather and Steve Baron for some pizza in Kalamazoo. Alex stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa Arklie.

Jamie and Russ are moving to Kansas City in February 2008. They will be there a year and then plan on returning home to Cottrelville MI. Their temporary move will be closer to a project for Russ's work.

It's a boy!

Friends of mom and dad, Jared and Elizabeth Smith gave birth to a baby boy last Thursday November 8th. He weighed 8 pounds and was 20 inches long.

This cutie was not only welcomed by his mom and dad but by his three older brothers!

kute, kozy, and kuddly kids

Alex and Sophee cuddled up together all on their own.

I think Sophee is enjoying her new friend more and more each day.

Thumbs Up...

I guess two thumbs are better than one!

A trot to Amish Country

Alex and Mom made a special trip to Indiana yesterday to visit with their friends Jenny and JD Rupp. Alex was a very good boy and enjoyed spending time with his bud JD who is 20 months old.

Rick and Jenny Rupp practiced with two kids as they are expecting another bundle of joy in MAY!

With some assistance, JD gave Alex some loving.

Alex was showing off his ride to JD! The moms and boys adventured down to Shipshewana for the afternoon...

...and ran into Cousin Kim Larimer (mom's side) who also gave Alex some loving. What a fun day!

Not sure who's cuter...

Sweater and hat set original by the one and only Grandma Dampeer!

...and a little rattle to top it all off. Finally Alex grabbed on to a toy!

RUN ALEX, RUN...

Ok...so Alex didn't really run on his own today (10/10)...but he was able to join in the festivities. While Dad and Sophee raced the Jingle Bell Arthritis Run/Walk in Kalamazoo, Mom and Alex walked with their friends (and neighbors) Linnea Carlson and dog Roxi (Sophee's best friend). Alex had a great time even though he napped through that whole adventure.

The whole Dam (peer) Fam await at the starting line.

Although Sophee ran with Dad, she was excited to spend time with her buddy Roxi.

He may be #43 at the race...but he is always #1 to his parents!

Dad finished #1 in his age group...Sophee finished #1 of all the dogs...and Alex is standing proud for both!

...and Alex is wondering when he can do it again...

I'm Two and a Half Months old now...

I like to smile, especially for my Grandmas...

I am getting so big that I can hold up my own head...

I like to act cute so mommy will take my picture...

I am all dressed up but there's no where to go...

See...I can hold up my head, do I still have to do tummy time?

Every vote counts...

Another busy day for the newest member of the Dampeer Family. Alex joined mom for his first voting experience and what a good boy he was. He also joined mom, dad, mom's boss and many others celebrate the Mayor Bobby Hopewell's win on Tuesday (11/6) night. The new Mayor is the Hospitality Services Director at the hospital where mom works.

Raise your hand if you voted!

Mom's boss Carolyn Gaston and Alex celebrated the Mayor's win at his campaign party.

Spending time with Daddy, priceless...

This photo says is all...

Catching the game together...

2 month checkup...

Our tough little man braved his two month doctor's checkup last friday (11/2). He received his first line of vaccinations...yuck! He also weighed in at 11 pounds and 4 ounces...and has grown another inch to 22 3/4 inches! The doctor thought he must be eating well and was very strong as he stood for her while she was doing her evaluation on him.

Alex enjoyed flexing in the mirror while waiting for the doctor...

Alex giving Alex a side five while waiting for the doctor...

Alex walking!...ok standing with dad's help...

First Halloween

Alex had a ghost of a time for his first Halloween. Although he didn't get to eat any candy he visited with his Grandma Arklie and got lots of ideas for his costume next year.

Sophee was a cowgirl for Halloween but refused to wear the hat.
For some reason she doesn't like covering up those big floppy ears.
