Another visit with Jackson!

You would think one of them bites!

"I won, you looked away first!" -Jackson

"The mom's are at it...AGAIN!" -Jackson

"Let's J-C Penny to the left" -Alex

Sharing toys already!...Alex already has his eyes on food!

A weekend away!

The goodbye to the little guy was quite hard but once we got to the bright and shiny city, we had a great time. Andy achieved a trip to Las Vegas through work...hard work that is. We left with Andy's fellow State Farm employees early Friday (1/18) and returned late Sun (1/20) after a HUGE delay at the Vegas airport.

We had no luck on the slots (but only played a few).

But that was okay because our buddies Chris and Kyle Weaver surprised us and met us in Vegas! What a neat way to celebrate Kyle's birthday (1/17).

And Kyle figured out how to collect lots and lots of chips!!

We had a blast checking out the city with them!

Seems like Andy and I spent more time in the Vegas airport though! We couldn't wait to get back to our babe but we spent 6 extra hours waiting for our plane to repair. No fun!

Reach out and touch...

...daddy!

("Shhhh dad, Sophee's sleeping!")

...the talking pup

...the musical bee

...the stuffed pup

and

...the whole pretty mat!

"Whew, I'm dizzy!"

"Can Sweetly the Valentine dog jump with me?"

"Hold on Sweetly!"

Tickle Me Alex...

Alex and Jimmy's Baptism

January 13, 2008 was a BIG day for Alex! He and his "second" cousin Jimmy Kennedy were Baptized in their hometown of Kalamazoo. What a very special day it was for the boys!

Alex was well-behaved through the mass leading up to the Baptism.

That didn't last too long though...even though he recieved a blessing from the Deacon.

Jimmy was a good boy as he received his blessing.

Godparents Aunt Claire and Uncle Mike flew in all the wall from Boston for the big day.

Jimmy's Godparents, his Uncle Chris and Aunt Judy also made the trek from Chicago.

Prim and Proper...

...and not to mention cute!

Alex Update...

So what is Alex doing these days...

SMILING of course. He wakes up every morning with a smile! Not only does he brighten mom and dad's day, but those at daycare as well!

He is very alert... and can't take his eyes off his pup Sophee. Speaking of eyes, Alex still has bright blue peepers unlike his ma and pa's hazel eyes.

Alex is also adjusting to daycare hours...sleeping 7p to 7a (used to be 10p to 10a)...waking up for a midnight snack...or mad because he is in his crib, not his beloved swing!

Last but not least, he likes to burn lots of calories each day by STANDING up as much as possible.

Alex the Grazer

Now that Alex is over 4 months old, he has become quite the snacker:

How 'bout a knuckle sandwich...

...or a yummy thumb?

Maybe a delicious ring-a-link...

...or two?

What better way to bring in the new year?

70 DAYS AND COUNTING...

Guess who is already resting up for St. Patty's Day?

4 month checkup

Alex had his 4 month checkup on Friday (1/4). He was a very good boy and growing as expected.

"The doctor's office again?"

"I weigh 14 pounds and 7 ounces" (50th percentile)

"I am 25 inches long" (50th percentile)

"More shots! Do I have to?"

As you can see, Alex enjoyed the mirror during his visit. He will go back again in two months.

First Day at Daycare

January 2, 2008, the dreaded day by mom...Alex's first day at Daycare!

Not only did Alex smile upon arrival...he smiled all day long! I think he took it better then his parents.

Tanya is one of Alex's new teachers. She says Alex is a very happy baby and a pleasure to have at daycare!

Luckily, Alex is only a five minute walk from mom's office....even though he is in good hands.

Happy 2008!!

Alex got to see another one of his buddies as the new year was brought in. Mom and Dad's friends, the Kolzows with baby Cami and the Hudsons joined the Dampeers in Kalamazoo for a dinner out and ball drop.

Although this little tyke was fast asleep he still celebrated 2008!

Mom and Dad also celebrated their third anniversary at the local Japenese Restaurant.

7.5 month old Cami stayed with Alex in Aunt Aimee's care while mom, Renee and dad, Andy headed out to Hana East.

Wendy and Ben Hudson also joined in on the food and fun.

Cami is sure a cutie, we were hoping she would teach Alex how to crawl!
