Alex's first tailgate...ND vs. MSU!

Sure looks like a confused fan...however, Alex is supporting both mommy's and daddy's teams.

Alex's first look inside the Notre Dame Stadium.

TOUCHDOWN!

All the cheering pooped Danger, I mean Alex out...

Finally some R & R after an exciting and long weekend!

First family trip out of town...to honor Grandpa Dampeer!

The Dampeer Family packed up their SUV, four in tow, for South Bend last Thursday. This was Alex's first trip out of town...and all I have to say is good thing we have a big car. As Andy said, "no need to lock the doors of the house since everything we own is in the car!"
Our journey was a special trip to South Bend to honor not only Grandpa Dampeer but the well known and respected coach Ara Parseghian. Grandpa Dampeer played football at ND from 1969 to 1972 under Ara. On Saturday, before the ND/MSU game, a statue was dedicated to Ara for his accomplishments as a coach at ND. A statue was unveiled (see link above) of Ara and some of the ND team members (Grandpa Dampeer and 2 other players) after a victory against #1 Texas. Grandpa Dampeer is on the far right boosting Ara on his shoulder.
Photos of the statue to follow.

Gushing Grandparents

Alex is one spoiled fella...by his grandparents of course. He is the first grandbaby on both sides...what a lucky boy...

Our pride and joy...

Alex is doing great!...and so are his parents.
Alex stats:
At one day old Alex weighed in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. This was 14 ounces more then the day he was born...we have decided he was really 7 pounds we met him on August 28.
His first outing was to the doctor's office on Friday afternoon. We discovered as many parents do, that Alex enjoys car rides.
Alex also enjoys taking naps on his daddy's chest...and his daddy likes it too.
